sooo sleepy!!!

So here's my predicament. I've never been much of a morning person, but I've always been terrible at staying up late. Anyone who knows me knows I could probably count the number of nights I've stayed up all night on one hand. And all month I have been working day shifts, meaning I've had to get up at 5 am, but I got to be in bed by 8 or 8:30 every night. Which I was actually ok with, and FINALLY after all month I was used to waking up that early. But now that October is over, I have to work the night shift all next month. And my first week I get to do 3 nights in a row. And so between now and Tuesday night I have to teach my body to stay up late and sleep all day. Yesterday I did EVERYTHING I could to stay awake till midnight and didnt make it past 10:30, and then was up by 7 today. So tonight I HAVE to make it till midnight but I'm struggling right now. And if I was at work I would still have 7 hours left. So I desperately need some suggestions on how to stay up all night from all you night time people! Cuz I'm not sure how next week at work is going to go! HELP! Cuz this is how I feel right now...

Disaster week!!

ok. Anyone who knows me well knows that I have 2 main loves in my life (besides Tyson of course). They are:

and

Yup. That's right. Popcorn and rice. They are seriously my two staples. Even looking at these pictures is giving me the craving. And so naturally I would consider the events that happened this week a disaster. First...Thursday night I came home from work STARVING. So I filled up my rice cooker and turned it on and went and showered. I got out of the shower, got dressed, went to check on my rice...and nothing had happened. And there were no lights on it! So I plugged it into 3 different outlets...still no lights. Disaster right?
But at least I still had my popcorn! So tonight, me and Tyson are getting ready to start our traditional Sunday night of watching Amazing Race and eating popcorn...and I fill up my popcorn popper and turn it on...and nothing. after about 5 minutes of it doing its thing I got about 5 kernals! I want to cry!
Good thing its almost my birthday, right?

Such a grown up!

Sooo...I started my new job this week! YA! Actually its been pretty boring so far! haha. I have spent 8 hours a day in the HR office doing my orientation, which means I was watching presentations and powerpoints ALL day. Just like school! Except better cuz I got paid? I start my first hospital shift on Monday...so wish me luck?
I'm just so excited to be a real nurse!! Even though it means getting up at 5 AM and working 12 hour days. I just love taking care of people and meeting people and making them feel even a little bit better. If I could get over my tendancy to pass out at the site of blood, things would be great! (jk! I only did that once! :) )
Mostly this week has been long. Tyson would usually leave just as I was waking up, and I was usually asleep before he even got home! He did leave me a note this morning, telling me he loved me but not to buy the scrubs I had already ordered online cuz he saw the picture and thought the models were skanky!
Anyways...this is a really boring post. I'll add pictures to make it cooler!

Me and Tys getting ready to go GO KARTING!

Tyson's first time in BC! On our hike to Wall lake. He loves hiking...

This is him being sooo excited to go on our hike!

Seriously the kid didnt crack a smile all day! haha but I was just happy he came!

Me and my mama hiking the summit! CRAZY long...but it was fun!

Missionaries and Roadtrips etc.

So we just got back from an awesome weekend home! We JUST went to Canada 2 weeks ago, and were there for 2 weeks, I know, but Jared's farewell was last Sunday and we really wanted to be there so we just decided to go again! And I'm very happy we did!
I seriously have the most amazing little brother's in the WHOLE world. No point in arguing with me, because I do. And I know that we fight and I complain about them a ton, but when its all said and done I love them more than anything.
I'm just so proud of Jared for choosing to go on a mission! He has seriously always been so mature about his life, and he's such a good example to me! He is such a hard worker and has such a strong testimony and I know he is going to be an amazing missionary!
Jared is 2 and a half years younger than me. For as long as I can remember we have been great friends. He was the one I always went to when I had problems and we could talk about them. I'm not saying that our relationship was always peachy...cuz I'll be completely honest we fought a lot. But I think that's part of what makes us so close is that neither of us are afraid to tell the other what we are really thinking. And were both so competitive that neither of us could be wrong!
Anyways...He is great. I seriously love him do death and I'm going to miss the crap out of him for the next two years. But I also know there is no where else I'd rather have him be for the next little while!
Another good thing about my weekend? I GOT A JOB! YA!!! Now I can FINALLY be a real nurse and make some money and stop sitting around all day and being fat and lazy! What a good weekend I had!

Car problems!?!

Yup. Bad start to my day. I went to go drop off my resume at a doctor's office this morning and that all went good until I got back to my car and couldn't turn the key to make my car start! It seriously will not turn. I tried everything, and sat there looking like an idiot for half an hour! I tried wiggling my steering wheel, smashing the dashboard with my fist, rocking the car back and forth...seriously I looked retarded. Nothing worked, and not one person stopped and asked if I was having a problem!! And there were a LOT of people that walked by and stared at me! I'm sure wondering what my issue was. Anyways. It made me grumpy. I ended up having to call Tyson's aunt and have her come get me and take me home, and leave my car parked there. So now I am car less, and Tyson is gunna be working till like mid-night tonight. And if Tyson gets in and starts it first try I might scream. Cuz that is always what happens, and then I feel retarded.

Home from our vacation Home.

So we went home to Canada for two weeks. And had an AMAZING time! I love my family and Raymond and all that stuff. And now we are back home in Rexburg. We had a great time in Raymond though. We got to go hiking in Waterton which I LOVE - Tyson hates (but he was a good sport and came on our hike to Wall lake...he just refused to go on the summit hike), my grandma made her amazing popcorn that I love like every other day, we went swimming at the Calgary wave pool, we went to Calaway Park, we had weiner roasts and ate chinese food, took family pictures...and lots of other stuff that was super fun! I just love going home to visit my family! I took lots of pictures that I would show you...but then I left my camera in Calgary at my aunt Sarah's house. I was devastated, I won't lie, but we are going up in a couple weeks for Jared's missionary farewell so I guess I can get it then, and show you pictures later.
Anyways, we got home thursday night, and then Friday was Brindy and Brady (Tyson's cousin) wedding! It was fun. I love weddings.
Then Saturday was our 1st anniversary!! CRAZY! It was great. We went out to dinner and to a movie and just hung out and I just love Tyson. My heart was exploding (anyone watch the bachelorette? haha). So it was a good day.
But now he has to start harvesting. He left at 5:30 this morning and I probably won't see him till mid-night ish. Then he will start again tomorrow. So for the next month-ish I basically get to live alone with my kitty. Who almost got eaten by a dog at Tyson's mom's house while we were in Canada.

Tyson

ok...so here's the story. This afternoon I had to go visiting teaching. So I said to Tyson right before I left, "Hey dearest. I will only be gone for like half an hour and I'm planning on actually making supper tonight so don't eat anything!" Tyson said, "ok!" So I went, and I actually enjoyed it...and I come home and my dearest husband is buttering his toast. So I said, "Tyson! I told you I was going to make supper tonight! If you'd rather have toast just tell me!" And he said his favorite line, "I forgot! But make it cuz I'll still be starving!"
Sooo I make dinner. I cook it all real nice. Even made a vegetable. Green beans. My favorite. And we sit down to the table and Tyson takes two bites and says, "Can you put that in the fridge? I've got to go to a study group." So I said, "why didn't you tell me you had a study group BEFORE I made dinner?" And he said...I forgot!
So of course being the great wife that I am I put his plate in the fridge and finished my dinner alone. Haha and I decided I needed to come write 10 things I love about my husband. Because I do. Even when he doesn't eat my dinners.
number 1.
He can always make me laugh! Even tonight when he was walking out the door and I was mad he just looks at me sheepishly and says, "I forgot!" and I laugh. Even when I don't want to.
number 2.
He is such a hard worker! He goes to school full time and works full time cuz I cant find a stupid job!
number 3.
Cuz when I fall asleep on the couch or bean bag he carries me to bed without waking me up. Cuz he knows I hate getting woke up and I hate sleeping on the couch/bean bag.
number 4.
Cuz he loves to play outside with me. We love to go quading and swimming and outside fun stuff.
number 5.
He keeps me from stressing out all the time! I am a stress case. And he reminds me 102938 times a day that life is supposed to be fun.
number 6.
He can talk to anyone! He has more friends in Raymond than I do I'm pretty sure. He is definitely 100 times more social than me.
number 7.
Cuz he is obsessed with watering our lawn. It makes me laugh. he could stand outside with a hose and just water the lawn all day I think. I have to remind him that is what sprinklers are for.
number 8.
He gives the best hugs. And he gives them lots.
number 9.
He loves our kitty cat. Even though he says he hates it I know he loves it cuz one time she was lost outside and he went and looked for her for a long time until he found her.
number 10.
Cuz he's my Tyson. He makes me smile and have fun and relax and he respects me and he has a testimony and he is my everything.

Time To Blog!

Sooo its been a while! For anyone who cares, yes, the construction is STILL going on. But the good news is I'm learning to sleep through it! There are days when its so bad that it shakes my house and that wakes me up, but for the most part I'm actually sleeping past 7 AM again!

So that last few weeks have seriously been a blur! July 1 I was super sad cuz we didnt get to go to Canada. But it was ok cuz my family came down the next day and stayed till the 7! It was so fun! We watched the sweet fireworks from the best spot ever by the river...we went to Mesa Falls, we went quading at the cabin! All of which were fun times! After they left me and Tyson have been working like crazy trying to finish up the semester so that we can enjoy the 7 week break! I have to take one huge test and I'm officially done...and Tyson has a couple to take and then he is officially done. Anyways...boring post....so here's some pictures of our fun 4th of July weekend!

The group waiting for the fire works! We seriously waited there ALL day...but it was totally worth it!

Mesa Falls!! I couldn't tell you who is in that picture. But it is some people in my family!

My wonderful familia!

So cute :)

Our sweet ride!

Biggest splash contest?

My amazing husband!

They really did have fun! even though their faces look like this in almost every picture!

grumpy!

Today I woke up grumpy. Why? Because at 6:00 AM the stupid construction workers fired up their machines and started digging around RIGHT outside my bedroom window. Seriously ticked me right off. I wanted to go outside and tell them exactly how I felt, but a) I was way too tired, and b) Tyson would have killed me. So instead I layed in bed getting angrier and angrier till about 10 when I gave up the idea of sleeping today and got up. So then I creepily took a picture of them outside me window so that I could come blog about it.

Yup. Thats them. The people I hate today. They are connecting us to Rexburg Sewers or something like that...so basically its going to be a LONG summer. It doesnt seem to be bother kitty near as much as it is bothering me though. She's just been snoozing away all morning. Is it weird to be jealous of a cat?!

Long Weekend!!

So...tomorrow me and Tyson are driving to Canada! YA! Jared is going through the temple and we are sooo excited! I am excited because I'm ready to do something fun. I get tired of doing the same thing every single day. I really need a job! Tyson invites me every day to go to work with him after he is done with school! He's so nice. I'm not a very good farm girl...so I usually end up following him around all day and getting in the way. But he is patient and I'm learning! I've seriously learned so much about farm stuff!! Here's 10 of the main things:
1. Don't ever go to the farm in nice clothes. Even if you think you won't get dirty, you will.
2. The best place to be when they are working with cows is on top of the hay stack. You can still see everything, but angry cows won't run you over...
3. Most of the mud in the farm driveway is actually not mud...
4. flip flops are not good farm shoes
5.
If you crash Tyson's motor bike, he will run to it before he makes sure your ok.
6. When your reversing a tractor, and your husband is standing behind it, make sure that you can reach the breaks with your feet before you start so you don't almost run him over.
7. How to pee in a grain field.
8. When Tyson says he's only going to be a few hours, he really means 5 or 6.
9. How to ride a horse. Kind of...
10. Not to be suprised at all when Tyson's sisters tell me they caught mice, snakes, birds, bugs, bees, or any other random creature! I love them!

I really have learned to love the farm. Maybe because it's my husband's passion, but either way...I am starting to love that part of my new life! And I love how cute Tyson is when he comes home all covered in grease and dirt. And when he gets so excited over new tractors.

My new Hobby!

Soooo since I am still jobless and only taking one class this semester I've started a new hobby. :) And I was bored so I figured I would share! :) That's right...I made these! This one was for Tyson's cousin to give his madre for mothers day.

This was for my mama for mothers day. :)

This one I made for my grandma. Actually the rest of them were for my grandma. :)

I actually weirdly LOVE making these...

MY FIRST BLOG POST!!

So I decided after we got married that I needed to make a blog. Then the picture I wanted in my header didnt fit and I got really frustrated and so I quit. Now...9 months later...I was laying on our couch sick. I've been throwing up all night (nice, I know) and I got sick of watching TV, and remembered my blog. So I decided to give it another chance. We will see how it goes. My problem is that I am seriously computer retarded. People always say that our generation is just amazing with their computer skills...but for some reason I got left out of that group. I call Tyson all the time at work cuz I don't know how to work our computer. So trying to make a blog was a little overwhelming to me. Sooo any blogging tips would be greatly appreciated. :)
As for our life over the last 9 months...its been great! We've had our normal newly wed struggles but in the end they have really made us grow closer together. So cute, I know. Tyson has been busily working on the farm, and I have been looking for a job as a RN! I had to wait FOREVER it felt like to get my Permanent Residence so that I could work and live here legally, but now that is all taken care of. WOOT. Now I'm ready for summer to come to Rexburg so I can start doing the things I love! Like quading (4 wheeling for all you weirdo's who call it that), going for walks (Still trying to convince Tyson that is a fun thing to do), getting a tan, hiking, ext.
Anyways...how was that for my first blog post ever? Maybe I'll even learn how to put pictures and video's and stuff on like all the other cool people's blogs I've seen. Maybe...
